Something we’re always keen to hear about when we talk to awesome people is their eating habits. For a super successful dragon like Michele Romanow, maintaining both a healthy and sustainable diet must have a knack to it, with so many projects and so little time for cooking.
An ideal day of food
“Daily eating habits benefit a working day hugely. When I snack, I go for food that’s high in protein. I don’t like eggs — I wish I did but I just don’t!
For lunch, I’d eat something really spicy on an ideal day. I love Thai food and soups. Ravi Soups is awesome Then I’d eat a tonne of fresh fruit in the afternoon and a giant seafood, Mediterranean spread for dinner. Fresh lobster and stuff like that. That’s a great food day!”
“I prefer salty foods to sugar. I’ve been training my body to require less sugar but if I had a choice of dessert, it would probably be a tiramisu.”
“When I order in, I’m like the queen of salads! Lot’s of freshii as well as sushi every day. I also love the poke trend that’s going on.”
“Something that I find wonderful is that our tastes change over time. I can remember not liking fish or avocados or olives… I love all those things now. I have a soft spot for the East Coast and I want to go to Halifax to eat seafood this summer. I literally just want to go there to eat lobster and nothing else! That’s this year’s dream. When I’m in Toronto, I’ll often get my sushi from KIBO though. It’s a good one.”
